Heavier than I expected, and the box does the gift work for you

Bought the four-house set so both of my kids could pick without a fight - the Slytherin one went straight onto a denim jacket and has stayed clipped on through three weeks of school. The pins are hard enamel with a real weight to them, not the thin stamped metal I was bracing for, and the green fill is clean with no bleeding over the silver. The box is the part I did not expect: white card printed with all four house animals and gold lettering, so I handed it over as-is and it still looked like I made an effort. Butterfly clasps hold tight but a nine-year-old can undo them without help. No scratches so far.
