Who we are

Mystique Shop (mystiqueparty.com) is a small online retailer of wizarding-world inspired gifts, stationery and collectibles. We are the controller of the information described on this page. Questions about any of it: support@mystiqueparty.com.

What we collect

Order details: your name, email address, shipping address, phone or WhatsApp number if you give one, and the items you ordered
Messages: anything you send us by email, WhatsApp or the contact form
Payment information: we do not receive or store card numbers. When you pay, the payment provider handles the transaction and we see only a confirmation of the amount paid
Technical information: IP address, browser type and pages visited, held in server logs for security and troubleshooting. Your cart lives in your own browser until you place an order

Why we use it

To pack and ship your order, and to confirm the shipping cost before you pay
To answer questions and handle returns
To keep the records we are required to keep for accounting and tax
To detect fraud and abuse
To send occasional product news, but only if you asked for it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand it to advertisers.

Cookies and tracking

There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no heat-map tool and no third-party tracker on this site. We use your browser's local storage for two things only: keeping your cart between pages, and remembering that you closed the newsletter pop-up. Clearing your browser storage removes both, and nothing else on the site breaks.

Who we share it with

Only what is needed to get your parcel to you: - Shipping carriers and our fulfilment partners, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver the order - The payment provider, when you pay - Our email and messaging providers, which carry the messages between us - Our hosting and content delivery provider, Cloudflare, which serves the site and keeps security logs

Where your data goes

We work across time zones, so your order may be processed outside the country you live in, including in China, where our fulfilment partners are based, and the United States, where our hosting provider operates. Wherever it is processed, the same rules on this page apply.

How long we keep it

Order records: three years after your purchase, because tax and accounting rules require it. Messages: two years. Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. Server logs: 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@mystiqueparty.com and we will answer within 30 days.

If you live in California, you also have the right to know which categories of personal information we collect, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of it. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you can still write to us and ask.

If you live in the EU or UK, you have the rights set out in the GDPR, including the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

Children

This shop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If a child has placed an order or sent us a message, write to us and we will delete the record.

Security

We keep as little data as we can, restrict who can see it, and serve the whole site over HTTPS. No system is perfect, but if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you what happened and what to do.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the bottom of the page changes with it. Anything material will be announced on the site.
